Vintage Popcorn Popper Herb Garden Container
Normally this Vintage popcorn popper would be used for over an open fire, fun for campers or evenings around the fire pit, but because I am not “normal” and love repurposing and decorating with unique finds, I decided to add this popcorn popper to our home decor as a vintage herb garden container
This Vintage Popcorn popper measures 9 3/4″ x 7″ over the metal popcorn basket, and about 25″ long end to end, since I wanted it to be assessable and fit on the counter, with the handle being so long it was easy to bend back the handle to create a stand, it also gives it more character while fitting perfectly on the counter top for easy access.
How to Create a plant stake
After placing the herbs in their new container, I thought it would be fun to add a cute little plant stake by using a chalk board label. The chalkboard label comes with a clip attached making it easy to just clip it on to the container. I gave it a quick coat of linen chalked paint and just added spice label stickers.
Another feature I love about this popcorn popper container is the storage it provides for some small jars to hold the dried herbs after drying.
Creating a Primitive Antique Farmhouse Decor Vignette
To create the kitchen counter vignette a set of 2 Vintage Primitive Tapered Wooden Pestle Mashers and distressed Solid Wood Pestle Hand Tools were placed in a faux enamel container created a while back along side a DIY free standing dish towel hanger.
If you like the look of enamel and would like to create a few pieces of your own you can see how easy that is done here at How to Create Faux Enamel and if you like the looks of the dish towel counter top hanger you can see how easy that was made here
