Repurposed DIY Potting Benches
Hi Everyone, I’m back with a cute and fun project that I refinished and stenciled. Wow I have miss all of you! It’s been a crazy ride between opening up our business Farmhouse Decor and Coffee. My daughter and husband finally got settled in their new home, I do have to say I do miss my grandson being there, but they are only a few miles away so this Grammy still can see here sweet grandson whenever she wants! Now with them in their new home, we can now focus back on getting our “money pit” fixed up. Which I will be sharing along the way. For now I thought I would share a few small projects, I have done.
This wood plant stand was given to me, although it was pretty dirty and caked with layers of paint, I knew it would be an adorable piece once it was cleaned up, painted and stenciled with some adorable stencils I received from Knick of Time.
Once it was cleaned up and sanded it really didn’t look all bad, however I wanted to give it a different look other than just a chippy white, don’t get me wrong I love everything chippy and white. especially when it comes to furniture, but here I decided this would look awful cute painted and stenciled.
I applied a aqua and white washed it, once it was dried I used the picket fence stencil and let it dry. Once it was dry, I stenciled the Farmer’s Market Picked Fresh Daily centered and stenciled the saying using the same aqua.
when this was completely dried, I again gave it a white wash finish and distressed over the entire piece.
Added some cute faucet knobs to hold some galvanized chalk painted buckets.
This was a pretty easy project, once the ironing board step stool was painted in a aqua and white
distressed and white washed. Holes were drilled in the iron board and some distressed chalk painted clay pots were added
Hope you all have a great weekend!
