Farmhouse Pallet Mason Jar Tea Light Sconce
It’s that time again to join my friends at Junk Visionaries where we repurpose junk in a themed repurposed project. This month we are taking “bits and pieces” taking two different items and turning the into one amazing piece. I have shared my large farmhouse decorated wall, in the past when I shared our farmhouse clock, it was in that post I mentioned I had one more item I had in mind that I was going to add to this wall before I called it finished. Well Today is the day that I am sharing my farmhouse pallet mason jar tea light sconce that was repurposed from a chandelier and a pallet.
How to repurpose a Chandelier into a Farmhouse Mason Jar Sconce
Take chandelier apart, cut wiring
remove chandelier arms
disassemble arms, remove the rest of the electrical parts and wiring, prepare for paint , spray paint all pieces white
Because the arm connecter was too short to go all the way through the pallet, the center rod that went down through the chandelier was used to make an adapter to extend length.
How make adapter and useful Tip
Place rod in vise use a hack saw to cut off enough length to fit through your pallet piece.
Tip: see the towel? by wrapping this around the rod before putting in vice this will protect the treads from getting smashed.
add the extended piece to the chandelier arm
To prepare your pallet for place your “New” Farmhouse tea light/ candle fixture and useful Tip
determine the depth of the hole that needs to be drilled. Here is a little tip… using tape place it around the drill bit. when drilling the hole and it reaches the tape stop.
place arm down into drilled hole
replace all the piece back to the chandelier arm
add tea light and mason jar.

After the sconce was hung, I got to thinking and wondering, if they made flameless tea lights on a timer…guess what I found? check these out eLander LED Tea Lights Flameless Candle with Timer, 6 Hours On and 18 Hours Off, 1.4 x 1.6-Inch., 12 Pieces, White
Yes… I ordered some…now I don’t have to take the mason jar on and off (which I keep forgetting to do) now we will be able to enjoy this for hours.
You could do this without the mason jar and just use a candle, but who can’t resist the look of a cute jar? I think the mason jar is what really makes this a Farmhouse Pallet Mason Jar Tea Light Sconce don’t you?
I love how this just fits in with all the other farmhouse decor on the wall. Did you happen to see the other pallet sconce that was done for the dining room? you can see that here along with another pallet project.
Thank you for stopping by hope you enjoyed this post on how to make a
Farmhouse Pallet Mason Jar Tea Light Sconce , don’t for get to check out the others below for more ideas on bit and pieces.
Till Next Post…
