How To Decorate A DIY Rustic Ladder
Recently, I have shared a couple of ideas on how to decorate a DIY rustic ladder. There really isn’t a wrong or right way to decorate a ladder. There are so many adorable ways you can use ladders. You can hang from ceilings as a pot rack, on a wall as a book shelf or simply lean them against a wall as a blanket ladder which was the original idea for this DIY rustic blanket ladder. I do have to say now that it is Summer is here the blankets are not needed right now. It’s been a lot of fun decorating this ladder. Today I thought I would share another fun way to decorate a rustic ladder with some beautiful hydrangea in apple baskets.
Decorating a Rustic Ladder with Hydrangeas
With summer the heat has really taken it’s toll on our hydrangeas. I wanted to hang on to the beauty of these beautiful flowers for as long as I could, so I decided I to bring a few indoors where we could enjoy them for just a while longer.
Instead of placing the hydrangea’s in an ordinary vases, I thought it would be fun to display them in a few apple baskets. The baskets were tied up to one rung with twine/jute while placing them on the other rung as a shelf on the ladder.
Note: Before placing the hydrangea’s in the baskets I placed mason jars with water inside each apple basket.
I replaced our heavier blankets with a lighter blanket by simply placing it on the corner of the ladder rather than on the rung.
to add some more floral to this rustic ladder arrangement, I added this wicker jug I had white washed. With the wicker jug being so deep a frog lid was used to hold the long sprigs of floral in place.
Rustic Wood Ladder with shabby chic Frames I love how this one turned out, It was mentioned this would also be great for a wedding. What do you think? Just add the Bride and Grooms Pictures..I wish I would have thought of that when I was doing my daughters wedding!
