Gift Wrap ideas Repurposed and Unexpected
Oh the anticipation ripping through each and every gift until you come upon that one unexpected gift, the one that has been repurposed into something you have no idea what it is. That one gift that is so huge, you can’t keep from wondering, is it really that big or is it one of those gifts in disguise? Gift Wrap Ideas that are layered, one box into another box and repeated until you get to the actual gift, or the smaller one that your think “oh I can’t wait to see what is inside this one”? I love to give those kind of unexpected gifts, most of all I love watching the anticipation and expressions on the the faces of the person opening the gift.
Today I will be sharing one of my favorite repurposed, unexpected gift wrap ideas for small gifts along with a group of bloggers from Junk Visionaries who will also be sharing their ideas on gift wrapping be sure to check them out at the end of this post
Direction on Gift Wrap Ideas Repurposed and Unexpected
Don’t throw out those food cans just yet! Although these ideas are done up for Christmas they all can easily be done for birthdays, baby shower, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, house warming, hostess gift, etc…
I like using the cans that actually have the pull tabs, you can use the others, but be sure to be careful when handling them. Wash and dry your cans and lids.
Using a decorative sock starting at the bottom of the can and slip over your can. Here I used a child’s sock. I bought two pairs of socks the first pair I used one of them for gift wrapping and the matching one I added to the other pair that was put in the can.
Other ideas you can add to a can jewelry, gift cards pretty much anything that will fit.
you will want to flatten out your lid (I used a hammer) with your glue gun run the glue around the edge of your lid and place your lid down on to the can.
pull the ribbing of the sock over the lid and add a decorative bow.
