DIY Farmhouse Kitchen Table Flip|Kitchen Table Repurposed to Sofa Table
As much as I loved our farmhouse table, it really wasn’t the right fit for the small area of the kitchen. One thing I really do love about it is the scroll wood work along the legs of the table and the scalloped apron. Not wanting to sell or get rid of it we decided to do a little furniture flip by repurposing it into a farmhouse console|sofa table with reclaimed pallet wood chevron table top.
I often wondered what the difference was between a sofa table and a console table. I have seen them referred to as both. Because I have seen it referred as both and me being me, I had a need to find out the difference. Yes I really didn’t know. Here is what I found out
What the Difference is Between a Sofa Table and a Console Table
There is very little difference between a sofa table and a console table, both sofa and console’s are used and referred as the same thing: a tall, shallow table that is pushed against a wall or to a back of a sofa. When console tables were designed, many were designed with just two front legs and were attached to a wall. So there you have it!
What term do you use? Console table or Sofa table?
