Vintage Desk Accessories
I have been busy updating my guest room/office, I shared part of the guest room earlier this week and today I am going to give you a little sneak peek of few things that has been happening over on the office side. On my desk I have taken some of my vintage cotton spools of thread and turned them into vintage desk accessories.
I love these beautiful large cotton spools of thread and how their simplicity makes the perfect vintage desk accessories and decor to my desk area. I have used them in my everyday home decor and season decor over the years, they just add just the right amount of vintage charm to any farmhouse decor setting,
Using the larger one to hold my scissors, while the one in the middle holds some of my favorite pens and of coarse every desk needs a “vase” of flowers in this case a cotton thread spool “vase” filled with hydrangeas.
To dress up one of the the vintage spools of thread. a piece of burlap ribbon around middle.
Tip: To keep pens from falling through the spool, paper towels were stuffed into the bottom.
A while back, I shared how I took our “Cafe Latte” sign and repurposed it into a “EAT” sign on our Dry Goods station. Since the first initial of my name starts with a “T” and it just so happened a “T” was left over a business card holder was made.
Although there is lighting under the shelf, I couldn’t resist adding this cute lamp to the corner of the desk area, it not only adds additional lighting, but adds a little pop of color to the neutral setting. Don’t you think?
