Simple Farmhouse Pallet Decor Idea
One of the places in our living room that seems to collect decor clutter is above the TV entertainment center. This is probably one of the hardest places to decorate. Trying to find just the right pieces to fill it is always a challenge for me. Smaller decorative pieces tend to get lost in all the clutter, larger pieces becoming just to overwhelming. Today I am going to share a simple farmhouse pallet decor idea that gives the perfect balance when it came to decorating on top of the entertainment center.
Finding the right simple farmhouse decor balance
I have found that creating a simple vignette in the center, adding a few pieces off to each side simplifies, gives balance without giving a cluttered feel. A smaller vignette made up with a couple of white wooden candle sticks with a smaller version of the wire bird cloche on one side, while a single large jar in soft pale yellow complements the colors in the living room area.
I will be sharing what I did with the luggage rack later this week, I will be sharing my Guest room/office area so be sure to check back.
Waste not, Want not….someone not to waste anything, because they might need it in the future! This is so me! You?
Here is what happened to the Pallet table top…
Using the Pallet table top as a piece of wall art/back drop for a simple farmhouse vignette. The vignette is made up with a simple twig wreath that was spray painted white and a wire cloche bird cage that was also painted white and adorned with some handcrafted plaster of paris floral. If you are interested in learning how to make your own plaster of paris florals from silks you can find the full tutorial here. *note the tutorial shows them in a different color they were repainted in white.
In front of the wreath is one of my favorite pitchers. This Antique Pfaltzgraff pitcher/water jug. I love how it looks with this simple farmhouse setting
The wire cloche is filled with a faux boxwood
I found these wire bird cloches online at a really great price and you get a set of 3, if you are interested in some for yourself, these are so cute they would add a little bit more farmhouse charm since they are made up with chicken wire. The ones here I had.
