No Sew Valance on a Window Shelf Cornice
With the weather we are having here, 104 degrees to be exact… way too hot for me. I will not be doing any outside projects that’s for sure! The air is on and I am taking full advantage of a cool house and will share more on the guest room.
Last week I shared the wall art I made with faux ceiling tiles on some cork boards I covered with fabric. With the same fabric I made this valance and if you look in the corner I also framed some in a photo frame.
take your two ends going over the rod and down to the bottom part of the folded strip and feed it through
Pull it tight around the wooden curtain rod.
This valance was really easy to make. The hardest part is the time cutting the strips. I love how this window cornice has a shelf to decorate on and also be used to add a valance.
I still have the office/staging area on the other side of the room to share… I am still working on it and will share it when it is done.
If you enjoyed this post and would like to see more like it… I would love it if you followed along!
Till Next Post…Xo Tammy
This is a great use of fabric Tammy, and the room is really coming along nicely! Very creative!!

View CommentI would never have thought to make a valance out of strips of fabric… so unique.. love the finished results….
View CommentI love the look you are creating in this room Tammy! I can't wait to see the full reveal!
View CommentGorgeous! Tammy I absolutely love this room as I've told you before and the details are fantastic. Great going girl!
View CommentGreat effect with the graphic black and white colors. I have the wood to make a shelf for my patio window and this would be a great way to add interest to the window (if I ever get the shelf built that is).
View CommentAbsolutely gorgeous! Thanks for the inspiration. Your entire Guest Room is so pretty!
