Lamp Base Makeover
I purchased this lamp a while back from a thrift store for $12.00. I really like all the features and details it has, but I really wasn’t all that crazy about the color, too much gold. I have been wanting to re-do it for some time now, so today was the day I gave it a refinish using latex paint and glazes to breath new life into it.
Here is what it looked like originally.
and here it is now
I love how the glaze brings out all the features of the lamp!
Here is how it was done.
I first applied a coat of Martha Stewart multi-surface latex paint, color is called putty,
and then dry brushed with muscovado metallic glaze.
(I was not paid to use these products.)
