Rustic Home Decor for Valentine’s Day
Hi Everyone, Today I wanted to share a real simple fast idea on how to take a piece of scrap reclaimed wood, turning it into a sweet welcome sign with galvanized letters. This actually could be for Valentine’s day or in your everyday rustic home decor. We all greet and welcome most of our guest with a little X’s and O’s AKA= Kisses and hugs right? Well at least the one’s we like, right? Using a metal music stand was the perfect piece to hold the sign that was placed in the entry to greet my family and friends by adding Rustic Home Decor for Valentine’s Day
Galvanized X’s and O’s
Creating a Temporary Sign
I love the size and the colors of this reclaimed wood piece, making it a perfect background for future project signs.
The “X’s” and “O’s” was attached using museum wax going around the backside edges of each letter. Why museum wax? I wanted something to hold it temporary in place for the season, allowing it to be changed out later. All you have to do is remove the X’s and O’s and peel away the museum wax. Now you have a blank slate to create a different saying….maybe spelling out welcome with some wooden letters or cute welcome sign like this one I found… love this saying ” Welcome …Enter as Strangers, Leave as Friends”

Tip: Museum wax is great for holding plates in place on a shelf or anything you want to hold in place. like these square glass plates on the white candle stick holder
Down at the bottom of the music stand, sits a vintage sled with a stainless steel bucket filled with pinecones and logs
Adding a knit sweater scarf at the bottom of a turkey fryer basket cozies up this stainless steel basket.
Note: Sweater Scarf was found at Target in the dollar section for only $3.00 a pretty inexpensive way to cozy up any container.
