In my last post I Shared my rusted Fall lanterns and gave you a little sneak peek of the little pumpkin between the lanterns? Can you guess what it is made from?
I will show you and let you in on what it is made from.
and this larger one is made from a paper towel roll, a squash, Fall floral and some wire. Scroll down and I will show you how that was done.
Here is how it was done.
I took the TP roll and flattened it, folded it in half and cut up to about 1/2 inch from the top. After I made my cuts, I applied some brown paint.
Once it was dry, I folded the ends in on each end of the TP roll. I then slipped a battery operated tea light into the bottom of the TP roll.
for the stem I cut strips from the TP roll
I cut the TP rings and hot glued one end to another to make it longer
I did the same painting technique to the strip. I glued part of it to the inside the other end of the TP roll
For the stem (sorry I didn’t get a picture) I will try and explain this the best I can. I cut about 2″ from a TP roll and cut it from the top down about 2 inches making cuts all the way around. I painted it in moss green and applied the mod podge. I wrapped twine around the base of the stem,
and decorated it with fall floral, cherry bombs, feathers, pine cones and wire.
