Winter Mantel Decorating Ideas (non Christmas)
Winter Home decorating Idea for the Mantel
Here is how I transitioned some of my non Christmas decor into winter this year and here is how it looked last year. Let’s start with the buckets that came from my stair decor. To create my winter mantle, I used pinecones, galvanized buckets from Target were filled with faux snow, snow flakes along with some faux snowball floral picks. all of which came from my Christmas galvanized bucket stair rail decor.
All the Christmas decorations are coming down… only a few more to go. While winter is in full swing I couldn’t help keeping a few winter home decor pieces out to create a winter wonderland for the mantel/fireplace. Today I would like share Winter Mantel Decorating Ideas (non Christmas) with you.
Soon we all will be bringing in the New Year, by adding a few champagne glasses on top of some white mini cakes stands on the mantle, adds and elegant touch to this winter mantel, it gives it a so to speak an Icy winter look.
The hour glass adds the final touch for a final hour count down into the New Year. I don’t know about you, but I am so ready for 2016 and hope and pray it is better than 2015. How about you…are you ready for the new year?
I only used four of the buckets to line the mantel, each bucket each received a number to read 2016. I used a glue gun to write out the number and sprinkled it with epson salt to look like snow.
In the center of the mantel an hour glass was used as the centerpiece while wooden faux wooden snowflakes along with some faux snowball floral picks
down on the hearth a farmhouse white stool holds a white battery operated candlesticks. A bucket filed with faux snow and a bottle of sparkling apple cider to toast the new year. The shorter candle stick holder holds the last galvanized bucket filled with pinecones. Oh I almost forgot…remember my mailbox I used for my fall vignette it was also used only this time set upright filled with snow filled branches.
Did you happen see the s’more bar I shared on facebook? I thought it would be fun to bring it in and enjoy a few s’mores for a family movie night on New Years Eve…Yes we will be spend our New Years in…so why not indulge in a few Smore’s, cider and a good movie. Works for me!
