Spring Decor with Milk Bottle Vases, Lemons and Daisies
Something about Daisies this year… I don’t know if it is the simplicity of this flower with it’s simple petals and the burst of yellow centers or if I just love Daisies. There are so many variations and colors. Do you have a favorite flower? Honestly I love all flowers, but for some reason I have really been drawn in by Daisies this year along with the colors of Yellow, Lime Green and White. Today I am sharing one of my favorite ways to bring Spring Decor in with Milk Bottles using them as Vases filled with Lemons and Daisies.
Don’t you just love this color combination for Spring? I have really been crushing on yellow this year.
adding lemons to the the larger glass milk bottle vases and some spring fresh flowers in the colors of yellow, lime green and white. 3 small glass milk bottle vases were filled with some white and yellow flowers and a few lime green button pom’s that really packs a punch in these three arrangements. I really love how these button pom’s and their distinct color and their small perfect circle shapes.
I hope you all aren’t tired of seeing my mantel, but I just can’t help myself when “Spring is in the Air” I just can’t get enough of decorating it and lemons, Lemons? Yes, Lemons our lemon tree has absolutely gone crazy this year.
and brings a natural bright element and texture to any arrangement.
Because the acidity of the citrus fruit can shorten the vase life of fresh flowers, you may want to use a smaller vase inside the larger vase to keep the flowers and fruit seperate. Just fill the smaller vase with the flowers and the larger vase with the lemons.
While decorating the mantel I decided to use the leftover lemons and brew up a
Natural Air Freshner
Using the leftover lemons, a few sprigs of rosemary and a teaspoon of vanilla and water.
Here is what you will need to bring a little spring citrus aroma into your home.
1 lemon (I used the leftovers from decorating my milk bottle glass vases)
a few sprigs of rosmary from my herb garden
1 tsp vanilla
I let it simmer all day long, adding water as needed. You can use the same mix for about 2 days. (you won’t want to keep it any longer than that) What a wonderful scent of citrus with the warm vanilla and the rosemary. Your home will smell wonderful!
Mine did and it really set the mood while putting together my Spring mantel.
Thank you for letting me share yet another idea on my mantel and how to use your leftovers after doing so. I hope you enjoyed it.
You may want to pin it later for future use.
