Rustic Wood Ladder Decor with DIY Shabby Chic Frames
It’s pretty amazing how one change in your home, can change the entire feel of a space. Recently, while I was adding a few simple Summer decor pieces to the fireplace and mantel, there was one other area that needed a touch of Summer. Our DIY rustic wood blanket ladder which sits in the corner of the family room holding our winter blankets, I suppose I could of added some lightweight blankets in some pretty summer colors, but I really have been wanting to decorate this ladder now that Summer is here and we won’t be needing the blankets for awhile now seemed to be the perfect time to add a little shabby chic to our rustic ladder. Today I am sharing how to add some summer decor to a rustic wood ladder, along with how to make a DIY Shabby Chic Home sign with blank wood cut out frames.
How to Make a Shabby Chic Home Sign with Blank Frames
- 4 wood cut out Frames
- white chalk paint
- small home magnet
- paper flowers
- white spray paint
paint each wood cutout frame with white chalk paint
I love how the gloss spray paint made them look as if they are porcelain.
Add home magnet with twine/jute by stringing it threw the cut out of frame, hot gluing the ends to the back of the sign
lay out frames, two of them on the bottom and two on top slightly overlapping them, hot glue in place.
hot glue white rose where you would like them on frames. Done!
How to Decorate a Rustic Wood Ladder with Shabby Chic Frames and Decor
- Shabby Chic Open Frame Home Sign
- 3 glass jars tied with white lace
- Large white rectangle frame
- small wreath
- White roses
Note: All pieces are tied on with jute/twine
run a piece twine/jute through the cut outs on on each side of the Shabby Chic open frame Home Sign and tie it to the top rung of the ladder
On the second rung tie two glass bottles, fill with a single white rose
