Neutral Fall Vignette
It’s that time again when us junk lovers get together to share with you all, what one would consider junk and what we consider a treasure. It does always amaze me on what one would consider junk. What I love the most is taking someone else’s junk and turning it into what I consider a treasure. This months theme is based on Holiday Decor and I can’t wait to share how I turned my “junk” into a Neutral Fall Vignette along with all the others that will be sharing their ideas at the end of this post…yes more great holiday inspiration by my friends here a Junk Revisions. Be sure to check them out as I am sure you will find something that will inspire you.
I found some great “junk” to turn into a Thanksgiving/Fall vignette for Mr. OMT’s desk…you noticed I said “Mr. OMT’s desk”. The oak desk I am not fond of that takes up way too much room in the family room and it’s Oak, but I guess even the ugly deserves a beautiful vignette. Seriously I wish I had another room just for this rolled top beast…don’t tell him I said that..
Do you have that one piece of furniture that just rubs you the wrong way and you can’t get rid of it because your better half just loves it? Well that is certainly the case here.
Today I would like to share how easy it is to create a simple masculine Thanksgiving Fall vignette with some pieces I already had along with some great trophy pieces, silver goblet and of course a turkey.
How to create a Neutral Fall Vignette
Somebody’s junk is somebody’s Treasure
Starting with these few pieces:
- Large trophy I had found on clearance at Hobby Lobby
- Small trophy found at Thrift Store
- Wine goblet found at Thrift Store
- faux white pumpkins had on hand
- real white pumpkins had on hand
- pheasant feathers -had on hand
- head of faux grey hydrangea- had on hand
- natural piece of grapevine had from a broken piece of a birds nest
All things that I had on hand can be found at your local craft shop
Here is how it was all put together..seriously this is so easy!!!
add pheasant feathers to silver goblet
place hydrangea head on top of small trophy
hang spiral grapevine on the larger trophy. I know I said place small white pumpkin on hydrangea head, but here I wanted to show you another way to display the small white pumpkin. Using the spiral grapevine as a wreath and placing the small pumpkin on it.
Remember the ugly desk (sorry for those that may have one of these…maybe if Mr.OMT would let me paint it? I would like it more…not a fan of Oak).
OK so you just saw how easy it was to put it together right? Here is what it looks like on the top of the desk
I took the same arranged vignette and placed it on the desk top and added my turkey to the vignette, because there is a lot going on here I decided to keep the small pumpkin on the smaller trophy..why? to keep my vignette in balance…if you look at the picture you can see this is done in a triangle layout, by adding the Turkey to the vignette, by keeping the white pumpkin on the head of the hydrangea and how it pairs nicely with the turkey height making this vignette flow and makes it easier on the eyes.
Thank you for stopping by and letting me share with you all, I hope you like it as much as I did sharing and putting it all together for you. Now for more Holiday inspiration be sure to check them out here below
