Kitchen Organization Ideas
Welcome back to another A Dose of DIY. This month we here at A Dose of DIY are sharing some great organization ideas and projects to hopefully inspire you all on some organization/storage ideas. When you have 3 cooks in the house everyone having their own ideas of where things should go, while most of the time those things never get put back to where it belongs, it was definitely time to put some organization into the kitchen.
Now before I get started I have to tell you that I have this thing about stuff just laying around the counter, like bread, bags of oats…well you get the idea, right? So in order to have things at hand, I like to use decorative pieces such as jars, and bottles to keep my dry goods in.

Here are some storage ideas on storing dry goods and spices in jars and recycled milk bottles.
I will let you in on a little secret…on a mini vacation to Solvang, I found these glass bottles at one of the local grocery stores. I loved these milk bottles so much, I bought every kind of milk flavor they had and 1 more.

Decorating With The Unexpected
Wooden dish rack made the perfect shelving for the 1/2 gallon penny jars and 3″ mason jars. The 1/2 gallon jar lids received a coat of white paint and adorned with some ceramic decorative knobs. I love decorating with knobs if you like to see more ideas decorating with knobs you can see them here.
White Ruffled cake dessert stand was used to hold fruit, while the other cake stand is used to displays a jar of sugar
Vintage wire shelf holds the milk bottles holds pastas, rice, quinoa.
In the vintage shelf are the cute bottles I was telling you about…Don’t you just love them? The lids were also spray painted white (just the outsides)
Large gallon jars are perfect for flours and sugars
To the right of the vintage rack, I call this my breakfast corner. The large canister was actually spray painted white and holds my oats, the smaller ones holds nuts and raisins. All organized in one place and no digging around the pantry, I don’t know about you, but nothing stresses me out more than to have to dig around and try to find everything I need for a meal. Now it is all at hands reach, just the way I like to start off my day!
Did you notice the dish drainer changed colors? Yea… I am a bit obsessed about things matching, so it received a quick coat of white spray paint. I think it looks a lot better in white, Don’t you?
