Welcome back to the “Thrift Store Throwdown Challenge” 2 weeks ago, I shared where 15 bloggers joined together challenging each other to take what was sent to them from their thrift store challenge friend turning their pieces into a one of a kind treasure.
My friend BonBon aka (Bonnie) who blogs over at Farmhouse 40 sent me these wonderful gifts
I loved the pitcher the way it was with all it’s patina and all, however I wanted to go more with our farmhouse style so I decided to make it look more like an enamel pitcher by spray painting in a high gloss white and lightly sanded around the edges of the rim and handle.
Next for the rooster Picture
recently I shared how to get more from rolls of gift wrap and used it on a couple of pieces in my kitchen to create a kitchen vignette. To go along with the farmhouse vignette, I decided to redo the rooster picture completely using just the frame. I used three different kinds of gift wrap cut each to the size of the sections of the frame and adhered them with mod podge add a pig chalk board piece to the center of the frame.
Please go over and check out the other trash to treasure projects from this challenge.
