Divided Wooden Box Tray / A Dose of DIY
Winter seems to be the time of year to organize, clean and get rid of things that I no longer need. Organizing and redecorating can be an overwhelming task, especially when trying find ways to display some of my favorite pieces. We recently rearranged the family room. While doing so I had to eliminate one of my furniture pieces that I loved decorate and create seasonal vignettes on. By adding this divided wooden box tray it allows me showcase some of my smaller pieces, what makes it more fun is being able to change it out for the seasons, like I did here for Valentines Day. Today not only will I be sharing my Valentine ideas here at A Dose of DIY several others will be sharing their ideas…Don’t forget to check them out at the end of this post
This piece will eventually be part of my wall decor, but for now this is where it will be until we get all the other pieces done. so be sure to check back later this week to see that and how this box was made.
I have been wanting one if these divided trays for some time now. When I had this idea, I asked Mr OMT if he could help me out and we went to work on this project… I just love how I can give him an idea and he is able to take it and run with it creating exactly what I wanted, most of the time it’s even better than what I had envisioned. I do have to say we make a great team!
How I decorated my divided box tray for Valentines
Staring out with some galvanized letters X, corrugated galvanized heart used as an O and “&” sign
This will be my daughter and son-in-laws first Valentines day together as a married couple, so I thought it would be fun to add one of their wedding pictures
A couple of small white vase capped with a knob and twine as the pull were added to fill in the rest of the box
