Minute Rice provided me with a coupon for their Ready to Serve Rice for my family to try. What was nice is I was able to choose from several different varieties including: Whole Grain options of Brown Rice, Brown and Wild Rice and Multi-Grain Medley, they have a new flavor called Jasmine Rice. It was really hard to choose from so many flavors. They all sounded so good. I do have to share that for some time now, a good friend of mine (Very health conscious) has been telling me about these easy to use Minute Rice cups and how she loved them and how easy they were to prepare, she also shared a couple of ways she prepared them. So when I was given this opportunity to try these, I was pretty excited to try the Minute Rice Ready to Serve and introduce a new healthier dinner to my family. Since we all have decided to try and eat healthier this year, It was perfect timing.
What I loved most about this product is the portion size and how easy it was to use. Since I do work full time I am always look for fast and easy meals, this worked out perfectly.
I do have to admit that I wasn't sure how the rice would cook up in only 60 seconds and how the taste would be and if it would be enough portion wise for my husband (the big eater) so I decided I would purchase an extra package just in case.
I finally decided on the Brown and Wild Rice to make Chicken and Vegetable Bowls.
I am hear to tell you this had to be the easiest and most flavorful meal, my family and I were pleasantly surprised. I used to get the boil in the bag rice and would have to flavor it myself...no more... the flavor was perfect and by adding chicken and vegetable steamers, It was a perfect mix and sized meal. Even for my husband, the big eater.
I did have to use the other package, but only one of them (they come 2 in a pack) and since there are three of us. But here is the good thing I took the other one for my lunch. It was very convenient. I will be stocking up on these for sure.
A healthy and convenient lunch...it can't get any better than that!

Ready to serve Rice
Boneless Chicken Brest Seasoned to your taste.
Package of Broccoli and Cheese Sauce
To prepare chicken season to taste and cut up into cubes
place in frying pan and cook until done.
When chicken is almost done, place your bag of steamers in microwave on high for 5 to 8 minutes. Once your vegetables are done set aside and microwave your Minute Rice cup in microwave for 60 seconds.

How easy is that and in less than 30 minutes!
For my lunch, since this was already prepared it took 60 seconds to warm up the chicken and vegatbles and 60 second to prepare the rice cup. We all know how hectic work can be and how we all look forward to our lunch breaks right? Well now I have more time to relax and enjoy my break.
This is one of those recipes that my family calls "It's a Keeper!"
