Sofa Table Refinished
I am back to share some more color changes in the family room
This time it is a piece of furniture and...yes, it was done with chalk paint. Have I told you how much I love using chalk paint? Those of you that follow me know this. Those that are new to One More Time Events... Yes I love making my own chalk paint! I use it on everything I can possibly think of...why, cuz it covers everything, (no sanding)
and I can make it any color my little heart desires. I keep telling my family not to sit still for too long because they may get painted too.

One of the my latest projects is this sofa table. It originally started out all oak
and with all the changes I have been making I thought it would look better in a lighter color to go with some other changes I have made. Will be sharing those soon.
Two of my favorite things. See the Coffee? See the chalk paint?
Can't get any better than this.
Coffee and Creating!! Oh yes life is good!
Applied the chalk paint to the bottom and after looking at it, I decided to leave the top alone. The reason I decided to this is because I wanted it to blend with the oak roll top desk we have and the other changes I made to the furniture...I will be sharing those changes and you will see what I mean.
Next I applied a dark wax from Minwax to the chalk painted part of the sofa table.
Mr. OMT had already put the stereo on the bottom shelf before I was able to take a picture. lol Guess I wasn't fast enough.

Can you see the Beta fish on the right? This is "Buddy" How do you like his designer home?
