Ceiling Fan Updated with Drum Shade

Hi, Finally back to share some more updates to color change series.  I don't know about you, but I am not a real big fan of ceiling fans.  However, when you live in a are that gets really hot during the summer it sure does help.  Instead of changing the light fixture or taking down the fan a drum shade was added.

Do you have any Idea what this stuff is I used to give it some texture?

I measured enough to go around the drum shade and then hot glued it in place.

I removed the light shades and connected the shade to the lamp

Have you guessed it yet?

OK...I will tell you....are you ready?  Rug pads...yep Rug pads!

This is what it looks like now, and since these pictures I changed it up a bit more...will share that when I can get a better picture of it.  Oh and one more new addition is the valances on the kitchen windows...Can you guess what those are made from?  Those of you that follow me probably know...Yep Table Cloth.

Til Next Post.. Xo

  9. I love, love this look!!! I think I am going to do the same on the ceiling fan in our Master. I have been wanting to take it down, but, like you said, it is so nice to have it in the Texas Summer. How did you attach the drum and keep it in place? I think my daughter would love this look also in her bedroom. Great inspiration!
