3 Refinished Furniture Pieces

3 Pieces of Furniture Refinished

Before I get started I do need to share a little something with you.  First to set the scene, I am only 5' 1" so Mr OMT calls me midget,  he's close to 6'.  Any how here is what I really want to share with you.  I have been busy painting everything is sight right?  So the other morning he comes down the stairs and says "  Oh here she goes again...and then says to me "You are like a Magic Midget show...first you see it,  now you don't"  and then proceeds to tell me  I am like waking up to "Martha" every morning.  I laughed so hard...why,  well it's the truth.    OK... now on with what I really wanted to post.

Hi everyone, I am back to share some more of the color changes  in the family room.
Here is a recap of what has been done so far.

Sofa Table Makeover to see full post you can see it here.

Next was the side table

Remember the Antique Singer sewing machine and antique coffee table transformation?  If you don't you can see it here  Re-purposed Antique Singer Sewing Machine.

Now for the newest makeover.

I  Refinished the Re-purposed sewing machine.

I did the same technique as I did to the other pieces.   I took the remainder of the table runner and placed it on the top

to tie it in with the script on the new chairs.

and the two pictures I made from the ends of the runner

To create the vignette I used an antiques sewing machine drawer I refinished a while ago and added some old spools of thread.   My friend, Ellen gave me a while back.  I was thinking I would actually use the thread, but now I  think it makes  great decor pieces and it really adds the perfect touch  to this vignette and this piece of refinished piece of furniture.

Perfect match right?

I am still working on the coffee table and I will be sharing that soon, I am almost done with it.

Til Next Post...Xo
Tammy
