Painting Glass Vases to Look like Finished Ceramic

Painting Glass Vases to Look like Finished Ceramic

Hi Everyone, It seems like I haven't posted a project in a long time.  Well really I haven't and I will tell you why, I have been busy changing things in the house again.   I was sooo over the dark tones and ready for some fun colors with a little bit of a modern attitude.  It started with the living room and now I have moved into the family room adding dark camel, french blue and a gray green.

I have quite a few projects to share with you in future post.  I started with these vases.
I purchased 3 of them for 50 cents a piece at a local thrift shop.
I also purchased some white plates and one of them I also painted.

I started with some clear glass vases

To add the color and the look of ceramic I made some homemade chalk paint
2 parts Folk Art Acrylic paint and 1 part Plaster of Paris.

and to finish them off I sprayed them with some clear

OK here are my new colors...What do you think?
Till Next Post.... Xo
