3 Projects using Chalk Paint

Three Projects using Chalk Paint
 Featured at: Domestically Speaking

I know, I know, more chalk painted projects...Sorry...but really,  I promise I will get to the whole color redo soon, but those of you that know me, know I have to have everything matching.
Really,  I don't know what I would do without chalk paint.
By the time I'm done (or will I be done?) showing you all the projects that have been done with chalk paint.  You are either going to want to try it or not?

In case you do want to try it, Here is what I use.
3/4 Paint
1/4 Plaster of Paris

Moving into the kitchen,  I showed you the plates Here and now I want to share what I did with my two tiered fruit basket and the faux artichokes.
To see what the artichokes looked like before you can see it Here.

This two tiered fruit basket use to look like this Artichoke Centerpiece until  I took it apart and gave it yep... you guessed it,  a coat of chalk paint.

The artichokes even got a coat of chalk paint... Surprised again?

OK... I know you all are thinking I am going a little crazy with the chalk paint.

Remember this guy?   Well he didn't get out of the way soon enough...

He even got a coat of chalk paint and glaze.
I am loving the new colors and can't wait to show you what else has been done.
Till Next Post Xo

Would love it if you followed along.
Let's stay connected!

  10. Great ideas,Tammy! I've been wanting to try that homemade version of chalk paint -- the ASCP is way too expensive in my opinion. What did you use for glaze? Now I just need to grab some plaster of paris!

  11. Isn't chalk paint just the best thing ever? It will go over anything!! Love how it all turned out - especially the chicken!

    Jenna @

  12. Hi Tammy, I love chalk paint too. I have used both A.S. and homemade. Didn't like one more than the other and the homemade is alot less expensive. Your items all look so cute dressed in chalk paint. Thanks for sharing with SYC.

  13. Wow, your basket looks beautiful! I love the chicken, too! Gotta love that chalk paint. You did a great job. Thank you so much for sharing with us at A Bouquet of Talent this week. Have a wonderful week. :)

  14. I think everything (well, almost everything) looks better with chalk paint! And your things are definitely looking much better!
    Debbie :)
