Chair and Antique Smokers Stand Makeover
Project 3 Weekend Frenzy!
Although in my last post Here, (If you haven't seen this post, I actually painted a ceramic vase and flowers with chalk paint.) So anyway like I was saying, "chalk paint isn't just for furniture." Well, even though, I still do love using it on furniture simply because I don't like sanding, plus I love the look of it and so easy to work with!
Today I would like to share some pieces of furniture I re-did in the seating area in our entry way on my weekend frenzy.
I re-did a chair an a Antique Smokers Stand with what else... chalk paint. The colors I used were Mushroom Bisque, Chocolate Swirl and Garden Promenade.
If you are following me you will see I pretty much did this technique and colors throughout my weekend frenzy. I recovered the seat with a cloth napkin that I purchased from Marshals.
It matches the table cloth in the dining room which later you will see. This is what started all this color change. Isn't it funny how one thing will lead into many projects?
This is how this seating area in the entry way use to look like.

To bring out different features on the Antique Smokers Stand I painted the front, back sides and some other features in Garden Promenade the rest was done in the mushroom bisque and highlighted with Chocolate swirl and to finish it off a dark wax was applied.
The wicker piece was purchased at Marshals... can you believe this? For $5.00 on clearance! Score!
and this is how the seating area looks now. I am really liking this new color!
